Many expectant parents in TW14 (Feltham, Bedfont, Hanworth) ask me when they should book their session and what age is best for capturing those iconic sleepy newborn poses.
The ideal timeframe for a classic newborn photoshoot is when your baby is between 5 and 14 days old.
Why Are the First 14 Days So Special?
Deep, Peaceful Sleep: During their first two weeks, babies sleep very deeply. This allows us to gently place them into sweet, curled-up poses without disturbing them.
Natural Flexibility: Babies retain that natural womb-like flexibility during their first fortnight, making curled-up posing comfortable and safe.
Before Colic & Baby Acne: Infantile colic and newborn acne typically don't appear until after 3–4 weeks, making the first fortnight ideal for smooth skin and calm tummies.
How Booking Works Around Your Due Date
Because babies rarely arrive exactly on their Estimated Due Date (EDD), I reserve a spot in my calendar based on your due date month. Once your baby arrives safely at home in TW14, simply send me a quick message within 24–48 hours, and we will confirm the exact date for my visit.
What If My Baby Is Older Than 14 Days?
Don’t worry! If your baby is 3–8 weeks old, we can still capture a breathtaking Lifestyle Newborn Session at your home, focusing on eye contact, smiles, and sweet family bonding moments.
