So you’ve booked your in-home newborn session with Irinel Livita Photography—congratulations! You might now be wondering: “What do I need to do to prepare my house?”
The best part of an in-home session in TW14 (Feltham, Bedfont, Hanworth) is that you do not need a spotless, show-home house.
Here is a simple, stress-free checklist to help prepare for a smooth morning:
1. Keep the Room Warm
Since babies look sweetest wrapped lightly or un-clothed, we need the main shooting room to be cozy and warm (around 22–24°C). Turning up your heating slightly before I arrive helps keep your baby sleepy and relaxed.
2. Clear a Small Space Near Natural Light
I don't need a massive living room! A small clear patch of floor or bed space near a large window or balcony door provides all the beautiful natural light we need. I will move light furniture around if needed.
3. Feed Your Baby Right Before We Start
Aim to give your baby a full feed right before or as I arrive and set up. A full tummy creates a happy, sleepy baby ready for their photoshoot.
4. What Should Parents & Siblings Wear?
To keep the focus entirely on your baby:
Choose soft, neutral clothing (creams, whites, beige, soft greys, or muted pastels).
Avoid large logos, bright fluorescent colors, or heavy patterns that cause color reflections on baby's skin.
