When is the best time to do a newborn photo session at home?
The ideal window is between 5 and 14 days after birth, when babies are usually sleepier and more comfortable in curled-up poses. That said, every baby is different — I’ve photographed beautiful sessions up to 4 weeks old. The key is flexibility and going with your baby’s flow.
Do I need to prepare anything before the session?
Not much! I’ll bring everything we need — blankets, wraps, props, and my gear. It helps if the room we’ll use has natural light, and a warm temperature (babies love it cosy). I’ll also guide you in advance with a short prep checklist, so you feel totally ready.
Can parents and siblings be in the photos too?
Absolutely — and I encourage it! These early family moments are priceless. I gently guide you through natural, loving poses that feel authentic, not forced. Big siblings are always welcome to join in for a few sweet frames.
What if my baby is fussy or won’t sleep?
Don’t worry — this is completely normal, and I work on the baby’s schedule, not mine. I build extra time into every session to allow for feeding, cuddling, or settling. My approach is slow, calm, and baby-led, no pressure, just patience.
Is my home "photo-ready"?
Yes! You don’t need a designer space — just a few clean, tidy spots with good light. I’ll help choose the best areas when I arrive and can move a few things if needed. Some of the most touching images are taken in the simplest corners of your home.
How do I book a session?
Simple — just click here to send me a message or use the booking form. I recommend booking during your pregnancy, especially if you’re due in spring or summer, as spaces are limited each month.
